Enniscorthy Town FC held their recent awards night in the Hole in the Wall where they celebrated a number of players achievements over the last year.
Chairman Billy Crosbie thanked all the players, coaches, and volunteers for their work and valuable contributions to the smooth-running of the club. He described the last year as a challenging one for the Men’s category, but a very encouraging one overall with some brilliant displays over the season and the introduction of younger players to the team.
He described how the U16s team won their league in a very convincing fashion and the Youths were still in the title race up to the very last game of the season. He wished everyone an enjoyable break and looked forward to seeing them back up in the field for pre-season training in mid-July.
He also acknowledged the great work being done at underage level, with growing numbers being observed year by year. He then thanked Seamus Coady for his hospitality and sponsorship on the night where everyone enjoyed a great night of music.
In the U16s category, Tadhg O’Rourke received the ‘Top Scorer Award,’ Fionn Murphy received ‘Most Improved Award,’ and Eoghan Crosbie and Shay Chigara were joint winners for ‘Player of the Year.’
In the Youths category, ‘Top Scorer’ went to Jamie Curran, ‘Most Improved’ went to Tiernan Kelly, and ‘Player of the Year’ went to Adam O’Donnell.
