Welcome wins for both Town teams

Both the A and B teams picked up 3 points at the weekend against different Rosslare teams. The A team were at home to Rosslare Strand and the B Team traveled to Rosslare Port.

Enniscorthy Town A   4 – 2  Rosslare Strand

Goals from Player/Manager Mark Heffernan, Joe Hyland and a brace from Wayne Doyle saw the A team play out a comfortable win against Rosslare Strand.

 

Rosslare Port  0 –  1  Enniscorthy Town

Dean Horan scored the B Team’s only goal direct from a corner which the keeper fumbled into the net. The Town were reduced to 10 men with 15 minutes to go when Ciaran O’Neill was harshly shown a second yellow for an innocuous foul; but they galvanised and held on for their second win in a row.

This Sunday 20th November, the A team face Rathnure away, while the B team are at home to Boolavogue. Both games kick off at 11am.

The Town’s Under 14’s are crowned Champions!

Under 14 Champions COLLAGE

In a thrilling 3 – 2  victory over Kilmore, Enniscorthy Town Under 14’s were crowned champions of Division 3A.

A hat-rick from captain DJ Murphy was enough to see them clinch the title in a tense match.

Well done boys, thoroughly deserved!!

Clean Sweep For The Town!

All 4 Enniscorthy Town Football teams in Actions took three points this weekend.

 

The B Team beat Orril Utd 3 – 2 at home.

The Under 12’s won 6 nil away to Shelburne.

The Under 14’s won 2 – 1 away to Corach Ramblers.

The Under 16’s won 6 – 1 away to Wexford Albion C.

Results: A & B Teams teams away to Adamstown

Mixed fortunes for the Senior teams on the weekend of  4th-5th Oct. There were no Schoolboys League games.

A Team:

In a score that flattered the hosts, the A team were beaten 5 – 2 Away to Adamstown at the weekend. Having missed a penalty to make it 3 all with 30 mins to go, the home side scored another 2.

B Team:

Also away to Adamstown, the B Team drew 1 – 1. Adamstown took the lead, but The Town levelled with 15 minutes to go through Shane Dempsey. The Town had chances to take all 3 points but never took them and overall a draw was a fair result.

3 out of 4 Enniscorthy Town FC Teams win at the weekend.

It was a good weekend in general for Enniscorthy Town Football Club with 3 of 4 the teams winning..

A Team:

After going a goal down they picked themselves up and won 3 – 1 with Goals from Paul Windsor, James Buckley and Mark Heffernan.

 

B Team:

They went down 2 nil to local rivals Enniscorthy United. Losing two key players in the first 20 minutes, the team was re-jigged and never quite gelled.
